KGV Waterlow printing Seahorse 2/6d. Deep Sepia-brown - a 3 values UNMOUNTED MINT fresh original gum multiple, the N.W. value being incredibly lightly hinged. An obviously well cared for block of four, well-centred (fractionally S.), full perforation, full original gum, superb intense shade. The x 3 unmounted mint never hinged singles catalogue £750= each, and the VLH single a further £350= making a total CV £2,600= excluding block of four premium. Fabulous colour, and exceptional three values UM NH multiple. Seldom available (1 BL 4)

1929 2½d. Postal Union Congress Watermark INVERTED. The paler blue shade catalogued by SG - NCom8a (Shade 2: Paler Blue). Superb unmounted mint never hinged full original gum example supplied by Stanley Gibbons for the sum of £3,750=. A delightful well-centred example (design clear of perforation) with fine colour. The 'London' market is ahead of SG's current £2,500= listing, being in the region of £3,250=. It is a few years since we last sold a UM NH Wmk Inverted PUC 2½d. when there were 4 or 5 bidders and a similar quality example realised circa £3,000. A seldom opportunity. As the accompanying Stanley Gibbons retail catalogue states … of this scarce watermark variety. To be able to offer the two SG Specialised shade listings together, is surely a once in a lifetime opportunity (1v. + SG Retail card)
