Well-centred fractionally S. a SUPERB example with original colour, full perforation and unmounted mint never hinged original gum. Previously supplied by SG for £3,750=. Premium example, current 'London' retail price £2,750=. £250= in excess of the current SG £2,500= catalogue price. To my knowledge the 1st never hinged example we have handled in ten years. KEVII 1902 1d. Colour Trial printed in black on red. Very fine unused mint fresh original gum IMPERFORATE part marginal 'jubilee line' example upon original Stanley Gibbons retail card priced £1,500= (Catalogued then £1,500=, now catalogued SG Specialised catalogue from £1,750=. Further well-descibed by SG as printed in black upon red gummed Crown watermark paper. Made from a specially prepared plate of 20 electros. In our opinion very scarce/rare. Reverse neat original 1st hinge remnant, fresh large part o.g. Fabulous fresh appearance in 'wrong' colour. 'Unissued' colour proofs are like buried treasure. Exhibition Standard (1v. + SG retail card).
