QV Wmk anchor blued paper 2/6d. Letters L-B, well-centred moderate aging attractive appearance average mint tiny part gum example displaying super paper bluing, in fact the aging appears to add to the charismatic 'patina' of this scarce high value catalogued £6,000= as normal mint, affordably priced as SPECIMEN type 9 (£625 catalogue value SPECIMEN type 9 overprint). Elusive in very fine condition (1v.)

QV 1883 10s. Ultramarine. Utterly magnificent fresh unmounted mint full original gum example letters L-H, centred slightly S.W. design well clear of perforation. I don't believe I have ever seen/handled a '183' of this standard. Superb colour, fabulous original gum. Liiterally Post-Office fresh. Accompanied by original Stanley Gibbons retail card price £2,250= (catalogued £2,250= as hinged). SG card states centred very slightly to the SE (S.W.), otherwise of exceptionally fine appearance. We would add, otherwise Superb (1v. + SG retail card)
