KGV Waterlow printing Seahorse 2/6d. Deep Sepia-brown - a 3 values UNMOUNTED MINT fresh original gum multiple, the N.W. value being incredibly lightly hinged. An obviously well cared for block of four, well-centred (fractionally S.), full perforation, full original gum, superb intense shade. The x 3 unmounted mint never hinged singles catalogue £750= each, and the VLH single a further £350= making a total CV £2,600= excluding block of four premium. Fabulous colour, and exceptional three values UM NH multiple. Seldom available (1 BL 4)

KGV De La Rue printing Seahorse 10/- Pale Blue fine used fine colour multiple in an extraordinary LONDON contemporary cancelled 18 AUG 1917 BLOCK of FOUR, well centred for these complete with clear 2011 Royal Philatelic Society London (RPSL) 2011 photo-certificate of authenticity. Infrequently we have seen similar multiples command £2,500= price levels, which is unsurprising bearing in mind how rare such multiples are. Legitimately, typically Channel Islands (tobacco duty) cancelled examples, postally used (London) multiples are rare. (fifteen years later in the 1930's high value denomination multiples may have paid for South American export/London Airmail transits. Doubtless, not unique, but RARE. Catalogued as 4 x singles £3,600=, what catalogue premium for this rare multiple. Gem (1 Block Four RPSL Certificate 2011)
