KEV11 2½d. Dull Blue Colour Trial (Perf 14), SG retail card (price £1,800=) accompanies. Described by Stanley Gibbons as 'very fine unused original gum example printed in dull blue on Crown watermarked paper. Scarce 1988 BPA Certificate'. We couldn't put it any better, except to say, on 1st light hinge attached, and rather rare in this beautiful condition (1v. + SG Retail card). KEVII ½d. Blue-green ERROR INVERTED WATERMARK in Rare unmounted mint never hinged original gum condition. Well-centred fractionally S. a SUPERB example with original colour, full perforation and unmounted mint never hinged original gum. Previously supplied by SG for £3,750=. Premium example, current 'London' retail price £2,750=. £250= in excess of the current SG £2,500= catalogue price. To my knowledge the 1st never hinged example we have handled in ten years. KEVII 1902 1d. Colour Trial printed in black on red. Very fine unused mint fresh original gum IMPERFORATE part marginal 'jubilee line' example upon original Stanley Gibbons retail card priced £1,500= (Catalogued then £1,500=, now catalogued SG Specialised catalogue from £1,750=. Further well-descibed by SG as printed in black upon red gummed Crown watermark paper. Made from a specially prepared plate of 20 electros. In our opinion very scarce/rare. Reverse neat original 1st hinge remnant, fresh large part o.g. Fabulous fresh appearance in 'wrong' colour. 'Unissued' colour proofs are like buried treasure. Exhibition Standard (1v. + SG retail card).

KEVII Harrison Printing 2½d. Bright Blue Perf 14 WATERMARK INVERTED Unmounted Mint original gum. Stanley Gibbons original retail card accompanies - supplied for the sum of GBP£1,250= (current SG Catalogue Value £1,500= Current 'London' retail price £1,595=. SG retail card states 'very fine unused o.g. example of this difficult watermark variety printed by Harrison & Sons, however we note barely perceptible original gum crease almost certainly pre-production which may be the reason why SG did not state this to be the unmounted mint example that it is. Centred N.E. Superb colour. A rare stamp. Treasure. (1v. + SG Retail card).
