KEVII ½d. Blue-green ERROR INVERTED WATERMARK in Rare unmounted mint never hinged original gum condition. Well-centred fractionally S. a SUPERB example with original colour, full perforation and unmounted mint never hinged original gum. Previously supplied by SG for £3,750=. Premium example, current 'London' retail price £2,750=. £250= in excess of the current SG £2,500= catalogue price. To my knowledge the 1st never hinged example we have handled in ten years. KEVII 1902 1d. Colour Trial printed in black on red. Very fine unused mint fresh original gum IMPERFORATE part marginal 'jubilee line' example upon original Stanley Gibbons retail card priced £1,500= (Catalogued then £1,500=, now catalogued SG Specialised catalogue from £1,750=. Further well-descibed by SG as printed in black upon red gummed Crown watermark paper. Made from a specially prepared plate of 20 electros. In our opinion very scarce/rare. Reverse neat original 1st hinge remnant, fresh large part o.g. Fabulous fresh appearance in 'wrong' colour. 'Unissued' colour proofs are like buried treasure. Exhibition Standard (1v. + SG retail card).

KEVII Somerset House printing £1. Deep Green superb unmounted mint original gum example in Post Office fresh pristine 'over the counter' original condition. Supplied by Stanley Gibbons for full catalogue price £3,000=. Described as Very fine and fresh unmounted original gum example printed at Somerset House. These day Gibbons have started to highlight a 20% difference uplift in catalogue value by listed SH printing at £3,000= versus DLR printing £2,500= which we agree. This Somerset House £1. Deep Green is literally the finest example that we have ever handled. You may find other examples cheaper, but, in our opinion you may never find better. Perfect colour, wonderful centring (SH £1 are notoriously off-centre) full perforation, pristine 'Post Office fresh' unmounted mint full original gum condition.
